Day 1 Pinot, taste buds and nuggets

Some names click like a cork being popped. Vougeot is one of them. Behind its old stones and rows of neatly lined vines lies a whole art of living. Here, you taste time, listen to the holy grail of climates, and let the wine do the rest. A day between flesh and soil, vintages and climates, to (re)fall in love with a land that when you take the time to listen to it.

Your departure : Vougeot

A gentle awakening… and an intense aroma. This morning, we head for the legendary Clos de Vougeot for an immersion in the soul of the region’s Grands Crus. The “Coeur de Climats” sensory experience is a journey through winegrowing Burgundy. Lights, sounds, materials and fragrances guide you through a setting that depicts what a “climat” really is*.

You’ll walk in the footsteps of the Cistercian monks, feel the history at your fingertips, and finish, of course, with a guided tasting session. On the programme: 3 Tastevinés Burgundy wines, and that special thrill when the terroir is told in ways other than words.

*We can’t resist giving you a definition! These are the typical plots of vines that you can see here.

The beginning of hunger

In the hushed silence of Chambolle-Musigny, a table invites you to confide in us. The wine doesn’t just stay in the glass, it infuses the plate, illuminates the pairings, and converses in hushed tones with each ingredient.

At Le Millésime, Burgundy is told with precision and without pretension. Elegance slips into a reduced juice, the season into a subtle garnish. The chef doesn’t try to show off: just the right tempo between terroir and texture. A dish, a climate, a sip of Chambolle-Musigny… and it all comes together.

The truth is in the wine

Wine experts like you will love Domaine Boursot Père & Fils in Chambolle-Musigny! The Pinot Noir here is straightforward, with the delicacy of the old houses and the precision of a terroir that is respected both in the vineyard and in the cellar.

Then it’s time to look up. With Clos de Bourgogne, Sandrine Lanaud invites us to read the landscape differently. Through her eyes, the Climats tell their story in the curves of a hill, the warmth of a slope, the grain of a soil. We realise that Burgundy is not something to be visited, but something to be slowly deciphered, like a wine that you take the time to open up.

Those evenings

The day is drawing to a close, but the flavours are still talking. Let’s head for Vosne-Romanée, in the heart of a village that resonates like a myth for wine lovers. La Cuverie de Vosne is a place apart, raw, warm and alive. There’s no set menu, just whatever the season inspires the chef to prepare. Grilled asparagus, perfect egg and smoked cream open the evening. Then roast Bresse poultry, jus court and flame-fried forgotten vegetables. And to finish, a fine orchard fruit tart with raw vanilla cream. And don’t forget the wine and food pairings!

After a dinner that’s as elegant as it is warm, there’s no need to go far. The Junior Suites at La Cuverie are just a few steps from the table.

Rooms bathed in light, where wood, stone and crumpled linen create a hushed, almost silent atmosphere. You might even hear the rustle of the vines just behind the glass!

Grapes, rock and resonance

Day 2 Grapes, rock and resonance

A change of scenery without a change of soul is the art of this second day. From century-old cellars to man-made walls, from open-air Grands Crus to haute cuisine, Burgundy continues to tell its own story through contrasts and nuances. Between quiet strength and bursts of creativity, we discover that here, wine is never far from art. Or emotion!

Good morning Burgundy!

In Nuits-Saint-Georges, Domaine Dufouleur Frères cultivates its vines as one cultivates a memory: with respect, exacting standards and a touch of audacity. The Pinot Noir comes in a range of subtle notes, from the finesse of a Côte de Nuits-Villages to the depth of a Nuits-Saint-Georges Premier Cru “Les Saint-Georges”. As for the Chardonnay, it expresses itself with clarity in a Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Nuits. Don’t miss a visit to the Oenothèque to discover all its subtleties.

Then on to Villars-Fontaine. Another tempo, another material. The former limestone quarry has become an open-air space where urban art takes over where you least expect it. Sculptures, giant frescoes, ephemeral installations… La Karrière surprises with its excess and its gentleness at the same time.

The beginning of hunger

Halfway between the cellar and the quarry, Premnord is a table like no other. No white tablecloths or expected formulas, just plates that shake things up! It’s lively, inspired and rooted in the season.

One day, green lentil hummus, homemade focaccia and veal tartare. The next, buckwheat shortbread with chocolate ganache. And you, which day will make you fall in love?

In the afternoon

The afternoon is played out between two emblematic villages of the Côte de Beaune. In Savigny-lès-Beaune, the Domaine Henri de Villamont will win you over with its extensive underground cellars. A few kilometres away, in Aloxe-Corton, the Domaine du Comte Senard cultivates another form of excellence, with aromatic, complex red and white wines.

Whichever you choose, the rest is in motion. The Ermitage de Corton team will take you on a guided tour of the countryside in a van. Between two stops, the Côte de Beaune tells its story through its slopes, its climates, its textures and a few wines chosen to better grasp its depths.

Those evenings

Set in the hills above Pernand-Vergelesses, Le Charlemagnewelcomes you to a refined, contemporary setting overlooking the vines. The chef’s signature cuisine floats in the midst of an ocean of vines. Each dish is a precise and poetic setting, accompanied, of course, by great wines from the region.

Day 3 Silence, scent and secrets

Beaune is waking up slowly, but not without a sparkle. Today, it’s all about the senses, with the sense of smell leading the way. From theHôtel-Dieu – Hospices de Beaune to the cellars, from the cobbled streets to the Michelin-starred dishes, a whole confidential Côte-d’Or is revealed.

Good morning Burgundy!

Beaune, 10am. Under the flamboyant roofs of the Hôtel-Dieu – Hospices de Beaune, you can listen to history… but above all, you can smell it. Head to the cellars of the Hospices civils de Beaune for a workshop at the crossroads of the senses.

Wine isn’t something you taste straight away. First you smell it. Then comes jasmine, leather and notes of undergrowth. Using olfactory bottles, we learn to recognise the notes that shape a Corton or a Meursault. And little by little, the aromas tell us more than just about the grape varieties: they reveal a place, a time and an emotion. At the end, a glass of Hospices wine is offered to bridge the gap between memory and substance.

The beginning of hunger

Under the century-old stones of a vaulted cellar, Le Conty plays the card of refined discretion. No tricks, just a cuisine that respects the product, and a few good bottles in ambush!

In the afternoon

Beaune is never quite revealed at first glance. You have to go downstairs, look up and listen carefully. The “Ville en Cave” guided tour takes you behind the scenes of the capital of Burgundy wines. A piece of history, between the Middle Ages and great vintages.

And then the moment takes shape. Two options, two atmospheres. At Domaine Chanson, push open the door to an emblematic estate housed in a 15th-century tower.

Alternatively, head to the Burgundy Wine School. During a workshop, you can learn to taste in a different way. Putting words to sensations, recognising a terroir in a glass. In Beaune, you never really stop learning. Even when you’re a Wine Expert!

Day 4 Vines, glasses and steering wheels

Day four, and already you feel like you’ve discovered a thousand faces of the Côte d’Or, the heart of winegrowing Burgundy. But this morning, yet another facet is revealed for your pleasure.

Good morning Burgundy!

In Pommard, the vines speak. With Les Divignes, the stroll takes on an air of confidence. You’ll stroll between hundred-year-old low walls, dry-stone huts and emblematic plots, following the lines of the UNESCO-listed Climats. Here, everything has a meaning: the orientation, the soil, the name.

Then, off to Domaine Coste-Caumartin, a discreet and historic neighbour, established in Pommard since the 18th century. In the vaulted cellars, a guided tasting takes you on a journey from the fruitiness of a Pinot Noir to the structure of a Pommard.

The beginning of hunger

In the shadow of the Pommard bell tower, an unassuming house welcomes you for lunch at Auprès du Clocher. Ancient stonework, clean lines, confident gestures: it’s all about balance. Chef Rémi Genot creates a lively cuisine that captures the moment. A few seasonal dishes, a fine selection of wines – that’s all it takes to make Burgundy speak with a difference!

In the afternoon

A change of pace for a change of route. Aboard a convertible 2CV, the Route des Grands Crus de Bourgogne takes on a whole new dimension. My French Tour takes you on a bucolic and joyful journey through the legendary villages of the Côte de Beaune. Between two bends, a few well-chosen stops, time to take a fresh look at the Climats and the gestures that have shaped wine for centuries.

At Puligny-Montrachet, the Chardonnay is revealed through two eyes, two experiences and the same terroir. At Domaine Jean Chartron, classicism is expressed with finesse: straightforward, taut, precise wines, a faithful reflection of the mineral elegance of Burgundy’s great whites. Just a stone’s throw away, Maison Chanzy offers a sensory immersion experience with “L’Essentiel”, a guided tour combining tasting with commentary, olfactory exploration and landscape reading.

Day 5 Climats, châteaux and clos

The fifth day doesn’t close on a parenthesis, it extends it. A final escapade to the rhythm of the light: the morning light that gilds the walls and the evening light that glides over the stones.

Good morning Burgundy!

Put on your trainers for this final morning! The Meursault-Blagny trail, accessible via the Balades en Bourgogne app, takes you through low walls, groves and plots of land. At every turn, you’ll discover a different perspective on Meursault, Volnay and Monthélie.

And as a natural extension, the Château de Meursault welcomes you for a wine tasting on a grand scale. In the majestic setting of the vaulted cellars, the whites are revealed in all their complexity, from the immediate charm of a Meursault Village to the vibrant depth of a Premier Cru. Walk, taste, understand: that’s how the memory of a landscape is anchored.

In the heart of Meursault, Au Fil du Clos offers a bubble of serenity. Behind its discreet façade, a luminous table where refinement is in the details: the warmth of the welcome and the elegance of a well thought-out dish.

In the afternoon

To round off this journey in style, head for Saint-Aubin, between the sky and the vines. The more contemplative will opt for a road trip in a vintage vehicle with Millésime Drive: a trip with retro charm along the back roads of the Côte. The more active can hop on an electric bike, hired from Château de Saint-Aubin, for a bucolic escapade along the Voie des Vignes.

Those evenings

In Saint-Aubin, dinner is served in the very heart of the winegrowing heritage, in the former vat room of the Maison Prosper Maufoux. The décor combines the history of the place with discreet elegance, with its stone walls, soft lighting and contemporary feel.

On the plate, the chef offers seasonal cuisine, designed to complement the wines of the House. A final, gentle stopover, a nod to the terroir that has accompanied you throughout the week.
