Start : Beaune

It’s time for the first leg of your family road trip to the Burgundy wine capital. Beaune has news for tribes: thanks to its various routes and activities adapted to the youngest visitors, the town is particularly kid-friendly!

Good morning Burgundy!

To get your adventure off to a good start, head for the Cité des Vins et des Climats de Beaune! Here, everything is designed to make learning fun: guided tours, fun activities and shows immerse children in the world of the vine. It’s the perfect opportunity to discover the famous Climats du vignoble de Bourgogne, the plots of vines that are so typical of the region.

Want to explore further? Head to Montagny-lès-Beaune for a sparkling visit to the Maison Veuve Ambal. The tour is suitable for younger visitors, and promises a great introduction to the world of crémant, with a few “wahou” along the way!

The beginning of hunger

Pommard awaits you for lunch at La Calabria, an Italian restaurant where everyone agrees. The pizzas are as generous as they are tasty. Would you like another slice?

Day 2 Mustard on the nose, shiny motorbikes and snails on the move

It’s hot and it stings a bit (but it’s for a good cause)! Put your taste buds to the test at the Fallot mustard factory, learn all you can about the history of winegrowing and speed past vintage motorbikes and legendary aircraft. Beaune never ceases to amaze, and the kids keep coming back for more.

Good morning Burgundy!

In the morning, take the whole group into the spicy world of the Fallot mustard factory in Beaune: follow the fun trail that reveals the secrets of mustard seed, and leave with your own creation ready to spice up any dish.

If you’re more into history, the tribe can head off to the Hôtel-Dieu des Hospices de Beaune. Take an immersive tour through the ages, or try the “15 minutes top chrono” challenge to unearth riddles and clues in this ancient building. It’s up to you!

See you soon!

Young and old with a passion for motorcycles are in for a treat! At the Château de Savigny-les-Beaune, immerse yourself in the world of the Motorcycle, Aviation and Racing Car Museum. With 30 prototype Abarth cars, 100 fighter planes from all over the world and 200 vintage motorbikes, it’s a real trip back in time!

Are you more the riding type? Hop on an E-trott and set off on a 2-hour adventure through the vineyards around Beaune. Thrills guaranteed!

Who would have thought it?

In 1973, the Château de Savigny-lès-Beaune was sold… to a swindler! The crook emptied the rooms and cellars of their furniture and works of art. Six years later, in 1979, Michel Pontbought the estate and restored it, endowing it with his incredible mechanical collections. Today, the estate boasts the largest private collection of fighter planes in the world!
