Day 1 Gin, hot-air balloons and starry barrels

Your departure : Meursault

You can have great whites and be colourful at the same time! The proof is in the inescapable wine village of Meursault. The tone is (char)set: your first day will be surprising, daring and resolutely delicious.

Good morning Burgundy!

From wine to gin, there’s only one letter. And a good dose of creativity! Head to the Clos Saint-Joseph distillery in Meursault for an unusual workshop to discover this precious spirit. As well as an enlightened tasting session, you can improvise as a mixologist and create your own recipe. And that’s just great!

The beginning of hunger

In Meursault, Les Murisaltiens plays the local card straightforwardly. In a sober, well-kept atmosphere, you can enjoy seasonal cuisine that makes the most of local produce according to the chef’s inspiration. A warm address where everything is designed to match the plate, the glass… and the moment.

An afternoon turned upside down

A glass of Meursault on the nose, a hint of truffle in the background… and your bearings start to waver. All to your delight! At the Ateliers Vins & Parfums, codes are shattered and aromas appear where you least expect them. A disconcerting olfactory experience, between pipette, grape variety and surprise.

What if you were to take a step back in time to better digest your wine? Head for the Montgolfière de Beaune, where the Climats are laid out like giant postcards beneath your feet. Miniature villages, golden light, suspended silence… A sweet andunusual interlude to savour with your eyes wide open.

Those evenings

What better way to get your feet back on the ground than with local gastronomy? Put down your suitcases (and your forks) at La Cabotte in Nuits-Saint-Georges. A warm and welcoming place where Burgundian beef is served alongside carefully selected seasonal produce.

Did you know? La Cabotte is also (and above all) the name of the little dry-stone huts you come across along our vineyards.

In fine fettle

What if you spent the night in something a little out of the ordinary? From a perched hut with a view of Mont Blanc to a cosy barrel in the heart of the vineyards, there’s no shortage of unforgettable experiences. One thing’s for sure: in Burgundy, Morpheus rarely goes for the classic!

Day 2 Snails, 2CVs and mustard on the nose

A change of scenery, with no loss of style! Today, we’re heading to Beaune for a break full of character. The hustle and bustle of the market, the spicy aromas of the Fallot mustard factory and the flea market in a 2CV: everything invites you to awaken your senses and break your routine.

Good morning Burgundy!

Beaune is waiting to welcome you for a gentle morning. Start with a stroll through the historic heart of the town. From the cobbled streets to the majestic collegiate church, via theHôtel-Dieu des Hospices de Beaune with its polychrome roofs, Beaune’s heritage is like a fine wine: it’s best when it ages!

Who would have thought it?

The famous Hôtel-Dieu des Hospices de Beaune, with its emblematic glazed roofs, was never a hospital in the modern sense of the word. When it was founded in 1443, it served as a refuge for the most destitute, providing care for both body and soul. With local wine, of course! Even today, the Hospices cellars host the world’s most prestigious charity wine auctions.

Our favourite note

Berlin isn’t the only place to go underground! If you’re there in June or July, a visit to the Beaune wine cellars is a must. Book your tickets and plunge into the bowels of the city for a journey to the heart of wine, between shadows, mineral freshness and buried legends.

The beginning of hunger

Fancy a quick but refined lunch? Head for L’Alentour: this restaurant revisits Burgundy classics with a twist. Charolais beef with a spicy twist, pickled seasonal vegetables, light crème d’époisses or a blackcurrant dessert: when local ingredients flirt with creativity, it’s a guaranteed crush. An ideal place to recharge your batteries without losing the thread of your adventure.

Burgundy goes up your nose

Head to the Moutarderie Fallot to find out all about this little condiment with a big character. From the mustard seeds to the plate, each stage in the production process is full of surprises (and tingling taste buds).

Those evenings

Step back in time with dinner at La Petite Taverne, a bistro-brocante where every decorative object has a story to tell. A lovely prologue to the menu, with its perfectly cooked meats.

Day 3 Sophrology, Pinot Noir and the final bouquet

For this last day, we’re going for a cocktail of letting go, sensory pleasure and initiation. Sip it from Gevrey-Chambertin to Dijon, and finish your road trip without any pressure.

Good morning Burgundy!

How about swapping a guided tour for a tasting session… with your eyes closed? At the Cave de Monsieur Jean, a relaxation workshop teaches you to breathe, smell and taste in a different way. No fuss, just you, a glass… and the peace of the moment.

The beginning of hunger

With your hand in your waistcoat and a bicorne on your head, head to Le Clos Napoléon in Fixin for a lunchtime meal on the terrace. There’s no need for a Trafalgar coup, the house offers only the best and the best, like its brioche sausage with mustard sauce or its pistachio and lemon entremet. A glass of Pinot Noir between the two, and you’re full and victorious.

To finish on a high note

Before you take your leave of Burgundy, take a look at the wine cellar at Le Marsannay, in Marsannay-la-Côte. You’ll find over 100 different wines to choose from, in the three emblematic colours of the Marsannay appellation: white, red and rosé!

Still got a bit of energy left? Then head to Dijon to take up Le Défi des Ducs (The Dukes’ Challenge). Put on your modern-day detective’s role and enter the ducal hall, where every piece of furniture hides a secret: rummage through old parchments, pull hidden latches and trace the thread of a forgotten story to unlock the passage to the exit. Get your magnifying glasses!

Those evenings

For your last meal on the Route des Grands Crus de Bourgogne, head for Labenfant in Dijon. A contemporary and daring restaurant where Burgundy’s terroir flirts with haute cuisine. Sophisticated dishes, subtle combinations and a hushed ambience: everything you need to end your road trip on an elegantly controlled note.
