Outdoors A nose for the great outdoors

Four days. Four days to get lost (a little), to marvel (a lot), and above all to taste everything that makes up the magic of the Route des Grands Crus de Bourgogne in the Côte-d’Or: vineyards as far as the eye can see, secret little paths, gourmet breaks that smell of conviviality, and those suspended moments you never forget. A roadtrip to disconnect, open your eyes and your palate, with no pressure, just pure pleasure. Shall we set off?

Day 1 Shared frames, trails and glasses

Your departure : Gevrey-Chambertin

First morning in Burgundy, and already the landscape is imposing its calm and beauty. We start the day by taking in the views from the Côte de Nuits panoramic viewpoints. Up there, the vines stretch out like an open book, whose secrets you learn to read and decipher. No glass in hand yet, just time to savour the immensity and light of the hillsides. It’s a gentle start to your journey, with every glance preparing you for the pleasures of the region.

Good morning Burgundy!

First stop, first look. This morning, the Clos de Bourgogne gives you a new perspective on life. From the orientation tables on the Côte de Nuits, you learn to read the landscape: the lines of the plots, the bumps in the terrain, the light on the hillsides… You look up before you look down. And let yourself be guided by what the landscape is telling you.

The beginning of hunger

In Couchey, Franquette combines local produce with good humour. An old stone bistro atmosphere, a large sunny table and a well-stocked wine list. We share seasonal dishes, sharp platters, and the desire to take our time. No fuss, no muss.

Day 2 Vineyard walks, gourmet delights and gentle strolls

Today, we’re taking the time to stroll around: a guided walk to discover Beaune in a different way, a quiet picnic in the heart of nature, then a ride on an electric bike or a tasting session with a passionate winegrower. It’s a leisurely day out.

Good morning Burgundy!

To awaken your senses, climb aboard the Visio Train, which departs from the Hôtel Dieu – Hospices de Beaune. As you glide through the cobbled streets, you’ ll learn everything you need to know about the unique history of this wine-growing town. Last call!

For wine and walking enthusiasts, head for the Montagne de Beaune and the Clos de la Belle Châtelaine. Join Jean-Louis, a passionate winegrower, for a walk through the rows of vines, learn about the terroir through anecdotes, and finish the tour with a wine tasting in front of a breathtaking view. A moment that makes you want to drink a toast.

The beginning of hunger

After this cultural appetiser, it’s time for lunch in the Parc de la Bouzaize. This green spot in the heart of Beaune is the perfect place to set down your tablecloth and enjoy a picnic. With its century-old trees, ponds and peaceful lawns, it’s a great place to relax, take a breather and sample some of the local specialities you’ll find at the market or with local craftsmen. Convivial, and above all very tasty.

Getting up high

For a suspended interlude, Beaune Montgolfière takes you high above the vines, just as the sun is caressing the hillsides. Gently, without a sound, the magic happens: 360° panoramas, immense skies and soothing silence. A flight that changes everything, to see Burgundy differently and remember that sometimes you just have to look up.

In the afternoon

We’re back on the road… or rather the vineyard path! Back in the saddle, but this time on an electric scooter or bike with Active Tours. The countryside goes by, the sensations rise, and the smile comes on your face: this is a ride that changes everything.

Do you feel like taking it easy? Beaune Côté & Plage awaits you for a refreshing, 100% natural break. Swimming, lounging, water games… the perfect place to recharge your batteries, with the vineyards as a backdrop.

And because Burgundy is above all a matter of taste, we end the afternoon with an intimate wine tasting at a local winemaker’s. At Domaine Cornu Edmond et Fils or Ravaut Gaston et Pierre, you can savour every sip, chat and soak up the soul of the terroir.

Those evenings

To round off the day in style, head to L’Ô à la Bouche, a restaurant with a friendly atmosphere, where the cuisine plays the local card with a touch of finesse. Home-made foie gras with delicate accents, tender duck breast topped with a red fruit sauce and melting beef cheek, simmered for a long time to reveal all its richness… Generous, comforting dishes, perfect for prolonging the sweetness of a day in Burgundy.
