Getting there

Terroir, climats & appellations

The Gevrey-Chambertin vineyards cover hundreds of hectares exclusively planted with Pinot Noir, producing powerful, expressive red wines typical of the area. There are 9 Grands Crus, from Chambertin to Ruchottes, bearing witness to the nobility of this soil. Alongside these are 26 climats classified as Premiers Crus, with their subtle notes shaped by exposure, slope, limestone-clay soil, marl, etc.

Heritage and a lively atmosphere

You can stroll through the narrow streets of Gevrey-Chambertin, lined with old stone walls. You’ll come across its medieval castle and church, or the ancient gates that bear witness to the centuries-old work of the winegrowers. To understand this past, in the heart of the emblematic Route des Grands Crus de Bourgogne, the Halles Chambertin is the place not to be missed.

As forthe vines, they climb the hillside, sometimes steeply, sometimes gently, up to panoramic views that take your breath away over the entire Côte de Nuits! In short, at Gevrey-Chambertin, you can breathe in the terroir, tread the ancestral soils, listen to the wind shaking the vine leaves… here, the history of wine is tangible.

Experiences & precious moments

You can visit prestigious estates, taste wines in open cellars… You can go for a walk, picnic and curiosity in hand, to discover the light of a morning or the blazing sunset over a parcel of Grand Cru.
Here, local festivals, markets and discussions at the tables of wine enthusiasts have no shortage of allure. Gevrey-Chambertin offers unmissable experiences that live up to its reputation.
