The sidecar, king of romantic walks

With your helmet screwed on and a smile on your face, take to the roads of the Côte-d’Or in a magnificent vintage sidecar. Head for the most secret corners of the vineyards, where the back roads wind between the UNESCO-listed Climats. Your driver-guide will share his passion for the terroir with the enthusiasm of a local who loves his region. On the programme: discover the most beautiful wine-growing villages, such as Santenay and Vosne-Romanée. And the icing on the cake: a guided wine tasting right in the heart of the vineyards!

The 2CV, wind in your hair in the vineyards

There’s nothing like a trip in a vintage 2CV! The advantage? You decide your own itinerary, and enjoy the luxury of spontaneous breaks as you pass a remarkable monumentor an eye-catching viewpoint. It’s an unusual experience in the middle of nature that’s sure to get you humming!

The electric scooter, fun and green

Electric scooters make discovering the vineyards a real pleasure during your unusual weekend! Perfect for exploring the Beaune area in a fun way, these vehicles are equally suited to strolls through the vineyards or forest escapades. A night on wheels

If your day of galloping from steed to steed has given you the urge to get away from it all, why not follow it up with a stay in some unusual accommodation? Our idea: spend the night in a gypsy caravan,in the heart of a 100% natural estate. Sleeping 2 or 3 people, it’s the ideal intimate setting for a rustic and intimate experience, without skimping on modern comforts.

An unusual night in a cabin

Ah, the vineyards of Burgundy… You’ve seen them from the air, but what about spending the night? Activate disconnection mode for the duration of a stay in a small cabin (or tiny house for those who know them well) in the heart of nature. Small in size but big on comfort, it’s the perfect place to recharge your batteries in an unusual way. The little extra? The Nordic bath where you can relax with a view over the vines. Now that’s la dolce vita, Côte-d’Or style.

Fruit therapy spa : when Burgundy pampers you with berries!

Who said the unusual didn’t go hand in hand with relaxation? In Burgundy, even well-being is off the beaten track for a weekend or short break! Head to Meursault to discover a spa experience that’s unique in the world: fruititherapy.

Imagine yourself in a 500m² setting dedicated to well-being, an extension of a 4-star hotel in the heart of the vineyards. Heated indoor swimming pool, jacuzzi, steam room, sauna… The wet area has nothing to envy the biggest spas. But it’s in the treatment rooms that the magic really happens!

Here, innovation is no laughing matter: fruititherapy reveals the beauty of nature by drawing on the antioxidant power of organic red berries from Burgundy. Blackcurrants, raspberries, redcurrants, strawberries… These little marvels of nature become your wellbeing allies for signature treatments that are as original as they are effective.

Our unusual favourite: Red fruit duo treatment

In an intimate cabin, you’re immersed in a four-handed ritual where the scent of blackcurrant and raspberry perfume the air. Expert strokes reveal all the benefits of these antioxidant-packed berries, while your skin regains its radiance and vitality!

One night in a 4-star hotel

No need to go far after your spa treatment! Your comfortable room awaits youat. And if you’re feeling hungry, head for the gourmet restaurant, where the chef will be delighted to prepare a regional speciality for you. Eggs en meurette or beef bourguignon?

Getting up high: Côte-d'Or from the sky

Want to see the big picture? Climb into the gondola for an unusual experience that will literally take your breath away! A hot-air balloon is the perfect way to admire the Climats in an unusual way .

The balloon takes off, rises gently, then glides noiselessly over the prestigious vineyards of Burgundy. Leaning against the basket, you can contemplate the grandiose spectacle: Beaune and its Burgundian roofs with their multicoloured glazed tiles, the emblematic hospices, the steeple of Notre-Dame pointing towards you… Welcome to seventh heaven!

From above, the Route des Grands Crus de Bourgogne reveals all its secrets. There’s Savigny-lès-Beaune and its private château, Aloxe-Corton leaning against the Mont de Corton, and villages with evocative names like Meursault,Volnay,Pommard… And in the distance, the Château de la Rochepot stands proudly on its rocky outcrop, an architectural marvel that completes this exceptional picture!

Our unusual favourite: an autumn flight through the golden vines

September-October is THE magical time of year! The vines are decked out in their most beautiful finery: yellow, red, orange… A festival of shimmering colours that transforms the Côte-d’Or into a veritable impressionist canvas. This is the Burgundian art of living seen from above!

Donkey or horse rides: the unusual at full gallop!

What if your unusual weekend in the Côte-d’Or was an opportunity to (re)put your foot in the saddle? Saddle up for a donkey or horserideand ride through meadows and undergrowth to the rhythm of your mount.

The little ones will think they’re real riders, the grown-ups will rediscover their childlike spirit, and everyone will benefit from this tempo. Time flies by at a slow pace: trotting, stopping, starting again, and here you are, crossing meadows, low stone walls, fresh undergrowth that smells of moss, or ridge paths overlooking vineyards arranged in a chequered pattern.

Between the Hautes Côtes de Beaune and the Hautes Côtes de Nuits, the scenery changes all the time: one minute you’re walking through a luminous clearing, the next you’re climbing a path that leads to a picture-postcard panorama.

An unusual way to rediscover nature in the Côte-d’Or, guided by these long-eared companions who know the trails better than anyone.

FAQ
  • How can you extend your unusual experience in Burgundy?

Because a day of adventure in the Côte-d’Or deserves a night to match, here are a few ideas for unusual places to stay.

    For two

Treat yourself to an unusual (and romantic!) night in a perched cabin, a gypsy caravan nestling in the vineyards or a room with a private spa where you can relax in total intimacy. Between a Nordic bath under the stars and a panoramic view of nature, these cosy cocoons are perfect for a romantic break in Burgundy.

    With the family

With your little tribe, opt for a wooden tiny house to play the modern Robinsons. The children will love climbing the stairs to their sleeping area, while the parents enjoy the cosy comfort. For simplicity, opt for camping in the great outdoors!

    With friends

Get together with friends! Rent a charming house with a garden in the heart of the vineyards, or a large group gîte for a drink, a meal and a holiday with friends. With a large capacity, it’s the ideal option for combining a festive spirit with immersion in the Burgundy countryside.

  • When should you book your unusual accommodation in Burgundy?

The Côte-d’Or is very popular in high season (spring, summer, grape harvest, Christmas period): it’s best to book several weeks in advance to guarantee your place, especially if you opt for a cabin, caravan or accommodation with a spa or Nordic bath. Out of season, it’s easier to find availability, sometimes even at the last minute. For major wine-growing or festive events, plan ahead as early as possible so you can make the most of your unusual stay!

  • Can I bring my pet to an unusual accommodation?

Some unusual accommodation in Burgundy is pet-friendly. This is often the case with gypsy caravans, gîtes or cabins in the heart of nature. This is your chance to share an original weekend with your four-legged friend! On the other hand, other accommodation (such as certain perched cabins or accommodation with a spa) may have restrictions. It’s best to check directly with the host before booking to avoid any nasty surprises.

  • What services can you find in an unusual accommodation in Burgundy?

Burgundy’s unusual accommodation combines unusual charm with modern comforts. Depending on the location you choose, you can enjoy a wide range of facilities: a cosy bed, private bathroom, fully-equipped kitchenette, terrace overlooking the vines… Some even offer top-of-the-range options such as a private spa, Nordic bath, or a breakfast basket delivered straight to your door.
