Tourism and Disability The label that opens doors for everyone

Travelling, discovering, tasting, walking… the Route des Grands Crus de Bourgogne should be enjoyed by everyone. That’s exactly what the Tourisme & Handicap label is all about: ensuring that every traveller, whatever their abilities, has a simple, enjoyable and inclusive experience.

What is Tourism & Disability?

A government label, a guarantee of reliability
Supported by Atout France, the Tourisme & Handicap label provides clear, reliable information on the accessibility of tourist sites. Awarded for 5 years, it reflects a genuine and lasting commitment to tourism open to all.

It applies to a wide variety of sites: wineries, accommodation, tourist offices, cultural sites, restaurants, wine bars, leisure activities, etc. All are committed to offering adapted facilities, smooth organisation and an impeccable quality of welcome.

Accessibility rhymes with quality

The label covers four types of disability:motor, visual, auditory and mental. To be certified, an establishment must meet 100% of the mandatory criteria and 75% of the comfort criteria for at least two types of disability.

The result: a guarantee of confidence for travellers, and a strong signal of professionalism and respect for the service providers involved.

The practical traveller's guide

Accessibility is more than just a ramp or a lift. It’s everything that removes obstacles and encourages independence: special equipment, appropriate signage, organisation designed for everyone and clear information.

In the Côte-d’Or, the Tourisme & Handicap logo is the benchmark to follow. It makes your stay easier, more comfortable and above all more enjoyable, whether you have a visible or invisible disability.
