Running in the heart of the vineyards

Every year in early October, the Marathon des Grands Crus brings runners, walkers and epicureans together in Dijon. Combining effort, pleasure and exceptional scenery, the event is one of the most emblematic sporting and festive events on the Burgundy Grands Crus Route.

What’s on the programme? A legendary route through golden autumn vines, picturesque villages, UNESCO-listed Climats and iconic châteaux such as Clos de Vougeot. Here, every kilometre has a taste of Burgundy.

More than just a sporting event

You don’t need to be a seasoned marathon runner to take part: the event can be adapted to suit all tastes.

  • The marathon → start and finish in Dijon, loop via Clos de Vougeot.
  • The half-marathon → from Chambolle-Musigny to Dijon, with free shuttles to the start line.
  • The 10km and 5km → starting in Dijon, bucolic routes via Parc de la Colombière and the arborétum de Longvic.

👉 Bonus: every adult participant leaves with a free bottle of local wine (in moderation, of course!).
